Ugly Duckling Nail Drill Bit - Mini Mandrel 3/32

How to Use Mandrel Nail Drill Bits (with Sanding Band Grit Guide):

  1. Choose Sanding Band:
Select sanding bands with different grit levels depending on the job:

    • Coarse (80 grit): Great for prepping acrylics or hard gels.

    • Medium (100–120 grit): Ideal for shaping enhancements or prepping the nail surface.

    • Fine (150–180 grit): Best for smoothing the nail surface and refining shape.

    • Extra Fine (240+ grit): Used for finishing touches and prepping natural nails gently.

  2. Insert the Mandrel Tool:
Place the mandrel (metal rod) into your electric nail drill handpiece securely.

  3. Attach the Sanding Band:
Slide the sanding band over the mandrel or attach the appropriate bit firmly. Ensure it’s snug and not loose.

  4. Adjust the Speed Setting:
Use low speeds for natural nails and higher speeds for artificial enhancements. Adjust based on the grit used.

  5. Apply Light Pressure:
Gently guide the bit across the nail surface.

  6. Use Short, Even Motions:
Avoid staying in one spot too long to prevent heat build-up or damage.

  7. Clean and Sanitize:
After use, remove the sanding band (discard after one use).
